Description
To promote interest in the historical records of Dumfries and Galloway and support the work of those charged with their care. The initial focus of the FRIENDS' activities is Dumfries Archive Centre but it is envisaged that the movement might spread to other parts of the Region in time. The group's primary funciton is to raise public awareness of the archives and enable as wide a group as possible to become involved with their collection, utilisation and development.
