Solway Sound: Talking Newspaper for the Blind

Description

Provides a free audio news service to visually impaired people in Dumfries and Galloway.  Recorded digitally and ditributed on USB every week througout the year, the 80-minute audio recording contains news and announcements from eight local newspapers:  Annandale herald, Annandale Observer, Dumfires Courier, Galloway News, Stranraer and Wigtownshire Free Press, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser and the Wednesday and Friday editions of Dumfires and Galloway Standard.  Also produces a bi-monthly magazine edition with longer articles from the local papers and from Dumfries and Galloway Life and Our Wigtownshrie magazines.

Meets: 

Wednesdays:  10.00 - 11.30 am
Thursdays:  6.00 - 9.00 pm
Fridays:  8.00 - 9.00 am
