Furniture Project (Stranraer) Limited

Description

We reuse household goods across Galloway, including Wigtownshire and Galloway.  We do this by accepting donated goods to us, either by dropping off at our donation points at the five Council recycling centres across Galloway or we can collect bulky items free of charge in the DG5 to DG9 postcodes.

The general public visit our shops at;

1. Community Reuse Shop, Zero Waste Park, Fountain Way, Stranraer
2. ReLoved, 22 Castle Street, Stranraer

Members of the public can undertake volunteering or training placements with us in our warehouse, workshop, vans or shops to share and learn skills.  We are also here to reduce social isolation through opportunities to undertake work & volunteering placements with us.

We run adhoc programmes to support community development and cohesion, from repair workshops, visits and site tours to Christmas hampers and free school uniforms.

Our focus is to alleviate poverty across our operating area and we do this by ensuring everyone has access to affordable household goods and electrical appliances.

In addition by providing facilities for people to undertake work in a community shop they may learn new skills, that will assist them to break down the barriers of long term unemployment and, or, social isolation, so they can play a meaningful part in community life whilst enhancing their opportunities to access gainful employment.
