Description

U3A is a UK wide group that provide the opportunity for those not in full time employment to come together to share interests and learn new skills.  In West Galloway the U3A provides several groups run by members with various interests.  It is open to anyone not in full time employment.  The group meets the first Friday of each month at St John’s Hall (next to the library), Stranraer, at 10.000am for 10.30am where we catch up with everyone’s news and have a coffee or tea.  There is also a speaker at these meetings.  Throughout each month the various interest groups meet on a regular basis, these groups include; walkers and strollers, writers, photography for fun, film club, world food, local history, book club, arts and crafts, explorers, singing, gardens, scrabble, poetry and lively lunches.
