Description

Dryfesdale Lodge Visitor Centre, alongside the Lockerbie Air Disaster Memorial and Garden of Remembrance, creates a lasting memorial to the 270 lives lost as a result of the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 on December 21st 1988.

The Lodge also pays tribute to the community of Lockerbie and the enduring links developed with groups around the world in the aftermath of the Lockerbie Air Disaster. The Visitor Centre also hosts exhibitions about Lockerbie and the surrounding area.

In 2003, the Dryfesdale Trust formed to take over the running of the Lodge on behalf of Dumfries and Galloway Council and with financial support from the Lockerbie Trust, the Dryfesdale Lodge Visitor Centre formally opened on 25th October 2003.

Dryfesdale Lodge Visitor Centre is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), SC051468, regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
