Mossburn Community Farm

Description

Mossburn Community Farm provides sanctuary for animals in need, whether they have been neglected, abandoned or their owners can no longer care for them.

We provide an information and advice service to the general public and welcome individuals and groups to visit. 

We provide opportunities for volunteers as well as placements for young people who are struggling with mainstream education and also work experience placements.  We are a secure and safe environment where volunteers and placements can learn about the care and welfare of animals.

We run a programme of Animal Assisted Therapy sessions which offer direct contact with animals in a natural setting to help individuals who are experiencing physically, socially, emotionally, or cognitively challenging circumstances.

We also host a weekly group for individuals with additional needs to come along and gain animal care experience, learn life skills and interact with peers.
