Wigtownshire U3A

Last updated: 09/10/2024

Description

The u3a is for people who want to keep active in mind and body, enjoy socialising, and are no longer in full time employment. Wigtownshire u3a was set up in 2008 and is one of the more than 1,000 local u3a's affiliated  to the national Third Age Trust.

We have nearly 20 interest groups on topics including art, local history, gardening, and languages. We hold open meetings in Wigtown once a month where we meet for a cuppa and often have a guest speaker on a wide range of topics (free to members, visitors £3).
