Description
The aim of Dumfries and Galloway Over 50s Group is to promote friendship amongst older people in the region, as well as combating loneliness and isolation. The group welcomes anyone aged 50 and over to come along to their monthly open meetings, where people can relax and enjoy social interaction.
The group invites speakers to talk on various topics, including some of particular interest and importance to older people. The group also organises outings, social lunches and meals.
The group operates a membership scheme for those wishing to join. Membership is not compulsory, anyone coming along for the first time is our guest, after which they can either become an annual member or pay a day-member rate each time they visit.
