Description
To organise and run the annual Riding of the Royal Burgh boundaries on horseback then the afternoon procession of decorated floats and pipe bands.
To organise and arrange the pipe band competition in the afternoon along with the children's sports.
Lastly the massed pipe bands on the high Street in the evening. This is held on the first Saturday in July each year with a run up of events a fortnight before.
The organisation has a very active committee who run ride outs prior to the day, Crowning of the Queen of the Border, Boundary walk along the river with quiz later, pubquiz, penny pitching, àdults and kids 5 a side, yard of ale, cafe chantant, Cornets Ball, Cornets Supper along with many other events.
