Last updated: 31/05/2018

Description

Aims to divert young people away from statutory measures of care, relieve their sufferring and promote their well-being. The Befriending Project is an early intervention service which recruits, trains and supports volunteer adult befrienders who are matched one-to-one with a young person, aged 8 to 18 years. Young people referred to the Project may be young carers; going through a rough patch; geographically or socially isolated; affected by bullying or other problems at school; or affected by the lifestyle of other family members.
