Description

To encourage and foster the practice and appreciation of artistic crafts. Dumfries and Galloway Fine Arts Society was established in 1922 and among the founder members of the Society were such notable artists as Oppenheimer, Hornel, E A Taylor, Jessie King and Fergussons. There is an annual exhibition for one month each summer and during the winter months regular meetings, lectures and demonstations are held in Gracefield Studios in Dumfries.
