The Friends of Ellisland were formed to preserve and maintain Ellisland Farm, the home of Robert Burns from 1788 to 1791.
We organise fund raising events to help to maintain the upkeep of Ellisland, ie Burns Suppers, concerts etc and encourage young people to visit Ellisland and learn about the works and times of our National Bard. We also have a workforce of volunteers who meet every Wednesday morning throughout the year to carry out repairs and maintenance to the farm , ground and display equipment.
