Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust (CLLCT)

Last updated: 27/10/2021

Description

The Castle Loch nature reserve is owned and cared for by the local community. The Trust relies on the work of volunteers to help care for and manage the site and runs a range of volunteering activities, from monthly site work parties (repairing paths, tree maintenance, building bridges, clearing undergrowth, planting tree etc) to helping out with visiting school groups and fundraising events. Something for all interests - keeping in the dry and helping plan events through to heading out in your wellies and getting your hands dirty.

We are also looking for people with specific skills, which might be running activities for children, specialist knowledge about flora and fauna, carpentry skills, through to trained ticket holders for countryside works eg chainsaw, herbicide spraying...
