Wigtown Riding of the Marches SC046262

Description

To re-enact the annual Riding of the Marches event, marking the town lands' traditional boundaries, as granted by the King of Scotland.  Encouraging horse owners/ riders to take part, appointing offices of Cornet, Cornet's Lass, Ensign and Marshall to riders each year, and giving hospitality to everyone who takes part.  General  carnival day.
