Object of the Club:

To commemorate in suitable manner the Birth of Robert Burns.

To encourage the study of the life and works of Robert Burns.

To foster an interest in literature, art and music.

To promote good fellowship.

The Club celebrates the birth of Robert Burns, annually on 25th January.  The Club also meets annually at Hallowe'en and on St Andrew's night together with a gathering in July to celebrate the life of Jean Armour Burns.  The Club also assists in the arranging of competitions for local schools and promotes interest in the life and work of Robert Burns. The Club also aims to ensure that buildings and places in Dumfries associated with the past are properly maintained as well as keeping alive the old Scots Tongue and  promoting Scottish heritage and culture.
