| Route: | From the start of the High Street at Burns Statue towards the Midsteeple, down the box office side of the Steeple passed the Plainstanes, turning onto Bank Street until we reach the Irish Street junction in the middle then stewards will ensure the procession uses the pavement on the Burns House side of the road (as has been done before and Nithraid commonly do), at the bottom of the hill on the excess space outside the Coach and Horses ensure that we have everyone to be able to give clear instructions to all, and either with police assistance or in groups using the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights) and stewards to ensure no one crosses on a red light, cross to the pedestrian path along the river Nith, following this until we reach the crossing at St Michael's Street Bridge and again with police assistance or with stewards and using the pedestrian crossing, cross in small groups, to re-join the pedestrian river path which leads into the Dock Park and onto the bandstand. |
