Headteachers are authorised to make an emergency closure when the state of the weather or any other exceptional circumstance make it absolutely necessary in the best interests of the pupils. When Education Services takes the decision, with due regard to the health, safety and welfare of pupils, to close a school in the region, this site is used to inform parents and associated services.
