Special Full Council Meeting Called for Tomorrow (Tue 13 Sep)

A special meeting of Full Council has been called for Tuesday 13 September, at 10.30am, as Elected Members come together to reflect on the life and arrangements on the recent death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of His Majesty King Charles III.

Members of the Dumfries and Galloway Youth Council will also participate.

This coincides with the Council cancelling three Committee meetings for this week as a mark of respect.Planning Applications Committee on 13 September, Nithsdale Area Committee on 14 September and Finance, Procurement & Transformation Committee on 15 September have all been cancelled, and subsequent business moved to a future meeting, as the Council continues to mourn the loss of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

The meeting will be held in Council HQ in Dumfries, with Councillors and Youth Councillors attending in person, and virtually.The meeting will be broadcast live, as with all our service committees, via www.dumgal.gov.uk/dgclive.
