Dumfries and Galloway Youth Awards 2022

We are delighted to announce that the DG Youth Awards are back for 2022. This year the annual awards evening will once again take place at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries on Thursday 24^th November and will focus on celebrating the amazing achievements of young people aged 12-25 in Dumfries & Galloway.

Elli Wadsworth, Chairperson of Dumfries and Galloway Youth Council said: “it is great to see that Dumfries and Galloway Youth Awards are back or 2022, with the audience once again returning to capacity after the pandemic. The Awards is a significant event for young people across the region and has built up a strong reputation for celebrating the personalities, talents and achievements of our young people.

Councillor Archie Dryburgh, Chair of the Council’s Communities Directorate said: “Once again over the last year we have seen dedication, commitment and drive from young people all over our region, who are doing incredible things to improve the lives of their peers within their local community and across Dumfries and Galloway. Our Council is proud to play a part in showcasing how amazing our young people really are. We also want to thank National Lottery and 10,000 Voices in Action who are fully funding these awards.”

Nominations open today and if you know a young person, youth worker or organisation in Dumfries and Galloway who you think is deserving of recognition, you can submit a nomination from now until the closing date of Monday 24^th October at 12 noon.
